Gombe Leading the Way in Sustainable Development – World Bank

By Halilu Mohammed Teli  The World Bank has commended Gombe State for providing a conducive environment for the successful conduct of a four-day training for enumerators involved in the third-party assessment of ACReSAL projects. Speaking at the closing ceremony held at Matrix International Academy in Gombe, the World Bank Team Lead, Mrs Joy Iganya Agene, represented by Mr Joseph Abang, said the state’s stability and organisation present a unique opportunity to showcase its development strides. “Gombe State has demonstrated a high level of organisation and stability, which is critical for programmes of this nature. This environment gives us confidence that the outcomes of this assessment will truly reflect the realities on ground,” she said. Dele Adesina, Keyamo Expected at Gombe 2026 Law Week

By Halilu Mohammed Teli  Gombe Lawyers Announce Schedule for 2026 Law Week The organisers of the 2026 Law Week in Gombe State say activities will begin on 15 May with a visit to a correctional facility and a special Friday prayer, followed by a church service on 17 May. One of the organisers said “the activities for the Law Week will commence on May 15 with a visit to the correctional centre and a special Juma’at prayer, while a church service will hold on May 17.” She explained that the main programmes of the Law Week will take place from Monday 18 May to Thursday 21 May, featuring an opening ceremony, panel discussions involving lawyers, judges and lawmakers, as well as lectures by experts on key issues affecting the legal profession.
