Uwargidan Gwamnan Jihar Gombe, Hajiya Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya, ta kaddamar da yakin wayar da kai domin rage yawan ‘ya’yan da ba sa zuwa makaranta tare da fadada damar samun ingantacciyar ilimi a fadin jihar. A lokacin bikin kaddamarwar da aka gudanar a Gombe, Uwargidan Gwamnan ta bayyana ilimi a matsayin mafi inganci wajen karya tarkon talauci da kuma gina al’umma mai albarka da ci gaba. A cewarta: “Babu wani yaro da ya kamata a bar shi a baya. Ilimi ba kawai hakki ba ne, shi ne gindin kafa damar samun makoma mai haske ga ‘ya’yanmu, al’ummarmu da kuma jiharmu mai daraja.” A cikin shirin, Gwamnatin Jihar Gombe ta bada tabbacin bayar da tallafin kudi ga makarantun firamare 50 da za su yi kokarin dawo da yaran da suka bar makaranta. Philanthropist and renowned engineer, Aliyu Muhammad, has empowered twenty six youths with thirteen million naira, giving each beneficiary five hundred thousand naira to boost their businesses and ideas. Aliyu, through his Velocity Humanitarian Foundation Secretary, Safiyanu Ya'u   who described youth empowerment as a personal passion, said the gesture is aimed at tackling unemployment and encouraging self-reliance. He pledged to monitor the beneficiaries’ progress and reward excellence with additional support. “This is just the beginning. I believe in the potential of our youths. If they succeed, we all succeed,” he said. The beneficiaries, visibly excited, hailed the intervention as life-changing and promised to make the most of the funds. With this bold move, Engr Aliyu Mohammed has once again shown his commitment to building a new generation of young entrepreneurs and changemakers.

This year’s draws, conducted at Amdo Adore Event Center, Kaltugo,Kaltungo Local Government Area, brought together a record 64 football clubs drawn from across Kaltungo, Billiri, Balanga, and Shongom LGAs.
